Hello, I'm

I ☕love☕ coffee.
There are 6 different ways to brew coffee in my apartment!
For the last 8 years I've been working as a freelance web
developer, but now, I'm also looking to work more with coffee everyday!
Work Experience
※ Independent Engineering
-
Everything from building video games, customer facing shop pages, and backend APIs
※ Coffee Roasting
-
In an effort to incorporate coffee into more of my life, I've taken up coffee roasting as a hobby.
※ In 2017 I worked as a barista/bartender at The Hideout Coffeehouse.
-
Being both a coffee shop, and improv theatre, at the heart of downtown
Austin, our customers were everything from office workers to
celebrities. It feels great to meet regulars, get to know orders, and make drinks for people in my community.
※ From 2013-2017 I was a canvasser for Environment America.
-
This was primarily fundraisig door-to-door for a variety of
environmental causes.
-
Locations included Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, Seattle, Portland,
Denver, and, of course, Austin. I knocked on at least 15,000 doors
total.
-
I helped run the Austin office as a director through 2016, recruiting,
interviewing, hiring, and training staff. (On top of canvassing)
-
Our teams managed to meet with Senators, investors, the press and
other influencers as part of our campaign strategies.
Besides Work
When I'm not working, I'm playing video games, board games, and coding
side projects.
A lot of this is out at patio bars and/or cafes. I love meeting new
people, learning their stories, finding more life collaborators.
Aforementioned Coffee Brewing Methods
I go through month-ish-long phases of having a favorite. Right now I'm on
a pour-over kick. These are listed in order of frequency.
-
Gaggia Classic espresso machine
a birthday gift from a friend
-
French Press
-
Moka Pot
Learning about this one from the manager of The Hideout changed my
life. Thanks, Jackie.
-
Pour Over
-
Instant Coffee
I'm going to say mixing this into other drinks counts as brewing.
-
Aeropress
I swear it's in a drawer somewhere.
